Who We Are

We Know Dallas. Not Just the ZIP Codes — the Real Business of Building Here.

There’s a difference between a contractor who works in Dallas and one who actually knows it. We know that permitting timelines at the City of Dallas Building Inspection office run differently than in the suburbs. We know that a Deep Ellum landlord wants build-out approval done a certain way. We know which subcontractors show up on time in this market and which ones don’t.

Brothers B&B Contracting was founded in the DFW Metroplex in 1993 and has stayed here — not because we have to, but because this is where we built our reputation one project at a time. Our clients in Dallas range from independent restaurateurs opening their first location to property managers overseeing multi-suite office renovations to medical groups expanding their practices.

We’re not a franchise. We’re not a national firm that opened a Dallas satellite office. Brothers B&B is owned and run by Ted Wilson and Jason McCord — both Ziglar Legacy Certified — who personally bid and manage the work instead of handing your project to a junior PM you’ll never meet. We’re a local company with 30 years of relationships, accountability, and finished work in this city.

Dallas Services

What We Build in Dallas — and Why Each Type of Project Is Different

We don’t list every service imaginable and hope something sticks. Here’s what we actually do in Dallas, and the nuances that matter:

Tenant Finish-Outs

Whether you’re taking raw shell space in a Dallas high-rise or reconfiguring an existing suite, we manage the entire scope — framing, electrical, plumbing rough-in, HVAC, finishes, and final inspection. We work closely with your landlord’s architect and the building’s property manager so approvals don’t stall your timeline.

Restaurant & Hospitality Build-Outs

Dallas has one of the most demanding restaurant markets in the country. We’ve built full commercial kitchens, custom bars, and dining rooms that have to hit a specific opening date. We understand Health Department and fire marshal inspections, hood system requirements, and the pressure of an opening night that can’t move.

Medical & Dental Office Construction

Healthcare construction in Dallas requires ADA compliance, infection control planning during renovation, and coordination with medical equipment vendors. We’ve worked in occupied medical buildings and understand that patient care can’t stop while we work.

Office Renovations & Remodels

From single-suite refreshes to full floor reconfigurations, we help Dallas businesses modernize their spaces without the chaos of an unmanaged construction process. Budget tracking, schedule updates, and a single point of contact — every week, not just when something goes wrong. For older Dallas buildings that need structural, envelope, or building-systems work — beyond a cosmetic refresh — see our dedicated commercial building renovation in Dallas page.

Ground-Up Commercial Construction

For new construction in Dallas, we handle everything from site prep coordination and foundation through mechanical, electrical, and final certificate of occupancy. We’ve managed projects from $500K to $4M and know how to keep a budget honest from day one.

Retail Build-Outs

Opening a Dallas retail location means hitting a specific open date — usually tied to a lease commencement. We build retail spaces that are on time, on budget, and ready for your first customer, not your second.

Local Knowledge

Why Dallas Commercial Construction Has Its Own Rules

Dallas isn’t a generic market. The City of Dallas Building Inspection department, the Dallas Fire-Rescue inspection process, and local landlord requirements add layers that out-of-town contractors don’t always anticipate. We do.

We know that certain Dallas submarkets — Uptown, the Design District, Deep Ellum, Downtown — each have property owners and management companies with their own construction standards and submittal requirements. Getting those right on the front end saves weeks on the back end.

We also know the subcontractor market here. After 30 years, we work with electricians, plumbers, HVAC crews, and specialty trade partners who we’ve vetted over dozens of projects. We don’t call someone new off a list. We call people we trust — because our reputation is tied to every trade on every job.

Common Questions

What Dallas Clients Usually Ask Us

We’ve been operating in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex since 1993 — over 30 years. The company is owned by Ted Wilson and Jason McCord, both Ziglar Legacy Certified, and headquartered in Grand Prairie, which puts us right in the middle of the DFW market. Dallas projects have been part of our work from the beginning.

We’ve managed Dallas projects ranging from small single-suite finish-outs under $100K to ground-up construction approaching $4M. Most of our Dallas work falls in the $150K–$2M range, which is where we’re especially well-suited — large enough to require real project management, not so large that you get handed off to a junior PM.

Yes, regularly. Many of our Dallas tenant finish-out projects involve coordination with the building’s property management team, their architect of record, and the landlord’s approval process. We’re experienced in submitting and getting approval through those channels without delays.

Absolutely. We’ll connect you directly with past Dallas clients who can speak to our work, our communication, and what it’s like to work with us over the course of a project. We believe in earned trust — not just a list of logos on a website.

We manage the permit process from application through final inspection. For Dallas projects, that means working with the City of Dallas Building Inspection department, coordinating with your landlord or building owner as needed, and scheduling inspections to keep the project timeline intact.
